Guidance differs on supplements for hot flashes. The Menopause Society's 2023 position statement does not recommend supplements or herbal remedies for them; the UK's NICE guideline says there is some evidence that isoflavones or black cohosh may help; and a 2026 systematic review informing International Menopause Society recommendations found moderate-certainty evidence for black cohosh but mostly low-certainty evidence for other complementary therapies. Few options have strong evidence.
